Shipping

Orders are processed and shipped on business days only, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Filson offers several delivery speed options to accommodate different needs. Fast or ground shipping typically arrives within five to twelve business days. Faster two-day shipping usually reaches customers in four to six business days. The fastest option, next day shipping, is generally delivered within two to three business days. These timelines are estimates rather than guarantees, and carriers may experience delays during peak seasons. Once an order leaves the warehouse, any delays that occur are outside Filson’s control.

Shipping rates for destinations within the United States and Canada are calculated based on the total merchandise value and the selected service level. For international orders placed through the US site, Filson charges a flat rate. If an item is needed urgently, customers are encouraged to contact customer service for help selecting the most appropriate delivery speed.

For delivery to US states, orders under ninety-nine dollars incur a ten dollar charge for standard shipping, twenty five dollars for expedited shipping, and forty dollars for next day shipping. Orders of ninety nine dollars or more qualify for free standard shipping, with expedited shipping at twenty five dollars and next day shipping at forty dollars. For US territories, orders under ninety nine dollars cost ten dollars for standard shipping, and orders of ninety nine dollars or more ship for free. For Canada, standard shipping is thirty seven dollars, and expedited shipping is fifty one dollars. For all other international locations, standard shipping is sixty nine dollars. Orders shipped to a Canadian PO box must use economy shipping via Canada Post parcel service.

Customers are responsible for any duty and tax calculations for shipments outside the United States. These fees vary depending on the final delivery location and the value of the merchandise. Filson does not take responsibility for any import duties or taxes collected by local governments. Customers may contact Filson’s Vancouver or Toronto stores directly to ask whether items from the US website can be shipped from Canadian stores without incurring VAT or additional cross border taxes. By ordering from the website, the customer authorizes a licensed Canadian customs broker chosen by Filson to act as their agent and to handle clearing merchandise with the Canada Border Services Agency.

Filson does not accept orders from a long list of countries including but not limited to Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and many others across Europe, Asia, and isolated territories. Any order shipped outside the United States may be subject to import duties and taxes. As the recipient, the customer is the importer and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Filton charges only the merchandise and shipping costs to the customer’s credit card. Import taxes and duties are collected by the international carrier upon delivery.

Free standard shipping within the United States applies to all orders of ninety nine dollars or more, with no promotional code needed. The United States includes the contiguous states, Hawaii, Alaska, as well as APO, FPO, Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, and the Virgin Islands. Free shipping does not apply to pro sales or international customers.

Shipping is handled on business days only. The total shipping cost for US and Canada shipments reflects the total order value. Orders paid by credit card are charged at the time the order is placed. If there is an issue with a shipment, the best course of action is to contact the carrier directly. While Filson customer service will do what they can to assist, Filson cannot be held responsible for delivery problems including delivery to the wrong address, lost or stolen items in transit, or delays caused by third party shipping companies, postal depots, or freight forwarders. This commitment to clarity and responsibility aligns with Filson’s long standing reputation for unfailing goods since 1897.
