Free economy shipping is offered on United States orders totaling over ninety nine dollars, with no discount code required. This offer does not apply to international orders. Orders typically ship within three to five business days. After shipment, economy shipping usually takes approximately four to eight business days. Expedited shipping options are available at checkout for those who need faster delivery. Filson does ship to selected international destinations, but duties and taxes are not included at checkout and are collected by the carrier upon delivery.

For returns and exchanges, all items that are not marked Final Sale may be returned within thirty days of the delivery date. Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with all tags and packaging intact. Final Sale items, hemmed items, or altered items cannot be returned. Several return options are available. Exchanges are free. Returning for store credit is also free. If a refund to the original payment method is preferred, an eight dollar return fee will be deducted from the refund amount. Returning an item in person at any Filson retail location is free of charge. Exchanges or store credit are recommended for the fastest resolution. Returns and exchanges can be processed at any Filson retail store at no cost. If an item arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect, customers should start a return through the online returns portal, and Filson will resolve the issue at no charge. Once a return is received, refunds are typically processed within seven to twelve business days. The customer’s bank or credit card institution may take additional time to post the refund.

For product care, rewaxing a waxed canvas item involves applying Filson oil finish wax evenly across the fabric. Heat from a hairdryer helps the wax absorb, and the item should be left to dry overnight before use. Most garments can be machine washed unless the care label states otherwise. Waxed canvas, wool, and rugged twill should never be machine washed. Materials like tin cloth, rugged twill, and leather are designed to develop a natural patina over time that reflects how the product has been used. For wool garments, spot cleaning is best when possible, and deeper cleaning should be done by a dry cleaner to maintain shape and integrity. Repairs are available through customer service.

Filson guarantees its products against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or accidental damage. To request a repair, customers can contact customer service, and the team will evaluate the item. Normal wear and tear includes fading, fabric wear, and general aging from use. Most repairs are completed within four to six weeks depending on the item and the type of repair needed. If a defect cannot be repaired, Filson may offer a replacement or an alternative solution.

Regarding sizing and fit, Filson garments are designed with a classic, functional fit. Many styles run slightly large to allow for layering. Size charts are available on each product page. If a closer fit is preferred or if a customer is between sizes, sizing down is usually recommended. For outerwear, layering needs should be considered.
