Returns

Unless marked as Final Sale, all items purchased from Filson may be returned within thirty days from the date of delivery. Returned products must be in their original condition, meaning unworn and unwashed, with all original tags and packaging intact. If these conditions are not met, Filson may refuse the return. Final Sale items, as well as any products that have been hemmed or altered, are not eligible for return.

Several return options are available to suit different needs. Returning for store credit is free of charge. If a customer prefers a refund to the original payment method, an eight dollar return fee will be deducted from the refund amount. Returning an item in person at any Filson retail location is also free of charge. Filson encourages exchanges or store credit whenever possible, as this helps customers receive the correct item more quickly.

Once a return is processed, refunds are issued either to the original method of payment or as Filson Credit. An eight dollar fee applies to refunds made back to the original payment method. After Filson receives the returned item, the refund is typically issued within seven to twelve business days. Following that, the customer’s bank or credit card institution may take up to two additional weeks to reflect the credit on the account.

Purchases made using Filson Credit must be refunded to Filson Credit. It is not possible to refund such purchases to any other payment method. Gift cards are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Filson also cannot replace lost or stolen gift cards.

For gift returns, the refund will be issued either as a Filson gift card or as a refund to the original purchaser’s payment method. If no purchasing information is available, the return cannot be processed. Any gift card issued during the return process can only be redeemed on the Filson website and cannot be used in physical Filson stores.

For international returns, customers shipping items from outside the United States must include the packing slip provided during the return process. Filson cannot be held responsible for items that are delivered to the wrong address, lost or stolen during transit, or delayed by third-party shipping companies, postal depots, freight forwarders, or similar entities. Therefore, it is highly recommended to insure the return package for the full value of the item.

Import taxes and duties may be applied at the discretion of the local government. Customers with questions about such charges should contact their local government directly. If an order was placed through the European or United Kingdom site, customers are asked to reach out to Filson’s European division to facilitate the return.
